This is the first day of my life .. I swear I was born right in the doorway

A few weeks ago I was out on the North Shore of O’ahu, Hawaii shooting a beautiful wedding for my friends Natasha and Simi.  But before you go any further, please hop over to view their engagement session, taken in Hawaii last year and see how this beautiful couple met each other.

For 9 days we stayed in a cozy beach house on the North Shore, enjoying Hawaiin shave ice, fried bananas, chocolate haupia pie for breakfast (what?! I was on vacation!),  homemade margaritas and more fish tacos than I can even admit.

We also got to experience all the behind the scenes excitement that goes on during the week before a wedding.  The baking, the flower arrangements, the rehearsal, the dinners with friends, the baking, the manicures, the planning, the crafting, did I mention there was baking?

It all lead up to one amazing day were Natasha & Simi became a family.

Please enjoy their wedding day as I saw it… Tasha’s sister (and a dear friend of mine) Nicole knitted these adorable little monsters for the ring bearers and flower girl.  The lace wrapped around Tasha’s bouquet was a piece from her mother’s wedding dress.The lace from her mother’s wedding dress was also used in the ring bearer pillow .. handmade by Tasha’s close friend GenevieveI love when I catch a couple admiring their new rings.Tasha’s sister Nicole outdid herself the week of the wedding making all the delicious desserts including their wedding cake.  She even painted the adorable cake toppers.

Tasha & Simi .. it was an honor to be there when you met and to be there again when you promised to love each other for the rest of your lives.  I wish you both the happiest of marriages.  Thanks for letting me be a part of your day.
