Today marks the start of a whirlwind 72 hour trek across the country. Today I’m kidnapping Tony away from the west coast.. a place he has called home for the last 3 years. I’m stealing him away to make a new home with me in Maryland .. or more specifically in Havre de Grace.
Perhaps I will learn that he doesn’t sort laundry the same way I do .. or that he doesn’t actually like the brussel sprouts that I make all.the.time.
Perhaps I will learn that there actually IS a limit to how much of my constant chatter he can tolerate in the car on a given day.
Perhaps I will learn that he leaves wet towels laying on the ground .. or that he drinks right out of the juice container.. or maybe I already know that one.

Soon he will learn that my OCD is only endearing when it comes to scrubbing out the refrigerator and not so much when I make him pick out bottles from the trash if he throws away recyclables.
Soon he will learn that I’m a horrible singer but that I try really hard every once in awhile just to see if that has changed.
Soon he will learn that I don’t believe in paper plates AT ALL!
Soon he will learn that I am terrible at leaving all the lights on and I don’t like to put the new toilet paper roll on the dispenser.
Soon he will learn that I broke the toilet handle in our new apartment right before I left town to go get him…..
