Oh how I love a farm wedding … and Trisha and Jarred’s was one for the record books!! The 2 of them .. along with their families and friends .. spent the past year fixing up the barn on Trisha’s parents property. And it was hands down THE most amazing barn I have ever seen. There was nothing they didn’t think of. Perfection!

The weather was a little crazy but it ended up working out perfectly in sync with the day. Just as we were finishing up some pre-ceremony bridal party photos it started to rain. And boy did it rain! The ceremony was inside the barn and the sound of the rain pelting the tin roof was amazing. And as soon as the ceremony ended the sun came out and sky turned blue. It couldn’t have been planned better if we tried.

Trisha and Jarred really wanted some photos with their dairy calves. I could have kissed them for being the most amazing couple ever! Jumping a fence in your wedding dress to run around a cow field. Trisha couldn’t have gotten cooler than that moment if she tried.

Just a mile or so from our house is an incredibly unique area called Clipper Mill.. which is situated on an old foundry. Long before we ever decided to move to Baltimore I was in love with it.. So when I met Mackenzie and Nick and the told me they were getting married there I was thrilled at the opportunity to photograph their wedding.

These 2 individuals are just the sweetest, most down to earth couple … one of those couples that you just know you could be friends with in an instant. One of those couples that when you hear their friends and family toasting them at their wedding reception you think to yourself .. “man! why haven’t I been friends with them already?!”

They kept their focus on what was important .. spending quality time with their most special people on the planet … and did away with the stress and insanity. Please sit back and enjoy this little glimpse into the most wonderful day in their lives.
Are you kidding me with this dress?!! Stunning!!!!Nick waiting to see his bride… I love this image right before Nick turned around and got to see Mackenzie for the first time. I am in love with this moment! This was a little stolen moment between Nick and Mac right before they walked down the aisle hand in hand. The Clipper Mill Pool made an amazing ceremony location.Their reception was at Coradetti Glass Blowing Studio... Incredible!Best dance off I have ever seen .. ever!

Cris and Kat are getting married tomorrow!! I am so excited to document the moment when these 2 promise to love each other for the rest of their lives.

Here are a few images from their engagement session last fall at Patapsco Valley State Park and downtown Ellicott City.

Lauren & Brian had a gorgeous wedding at Camp Letts in Edgewater, MD. I photographed Brian’s sister Lisa’s wedding almost 2 years ago so I was really looking forward to getting to spend the day with these amazing families again. It’s so much fun to be able to work with people that treat you like a close family friend.

We started the day at Lauren’s parents house and there were so many personal touches. Her mom Maureen hung up her wedding dress next to the dress that Lauren wore to her 1st Communion. Such a beautiful contrast between these 2 important dresses.

After the ceremony we rode a trolley all over Camp Letts summer camp for their photos. I love this location!

Kicking off the 2013 wedding season with … my wedding

On April 5th, 2013, on the most gorgeous spring day that Maryland has even seen, I was walked down the ‘aisle’ by my nephew and my dad and married my best friend under a huge tree in the company of my most favorite people in the world. It was a dream.

I honestly don’t even know how to describe the beauty of our wedding day in words. All I know is it was EXACTLY how I imagined it in my head in the months leading up to it.

Tony and I (mostly Tony) worked hard to design and create a gorgeous table for our family to eat around.

My dress was handmade by my talented mother.

My sister made the most beautiful cake and all of the desserts.

We hired the most amazing story-telling photographers in the world.

We rented a big house in Cambridge, MD and we invited only our immediate family (17 people including Tony and I) and Tony’s uncle Terry to perform the ceremony.

In a recent post I talked about the impending rain and how we would have an amazing wedding come rain or come shine. I made my peace with the weather forecast, we made a rain-plan and were completely prepared as the rain poured down all through the night. But by some amazing miracle (that I don’t know what we did to deserve) the clouds parted as we woke up and the most brilliant blue sky took over. Suddenly a forecast of 48 degrees and rain and wind turned into a 60 degree, cloudless day without an ounce of wind. It was a gift that none of us took for granted.

I will be posting TONS of images from our amazing photographers when we receive them but in the meantime here are a couple of our favorite i-phone photos from the day.

We had the pleasure of working with Lemon and Lime Event Design who worked tirelessly all day making sure that everything looked beautiful and that the day flowed smoothly.
