It’s rare that I would have a previous connection with a bride that I work with .. especially a connection that involves us running around the yard at my Aunt’s house as kids. But that’s exactly the case with Tara. I’ll never forget our first phone call last year. She explained that she grew up across the street from my family, best friends with my cousin Emily.. we talked about the days when she would come over to play while my sister and I would be visiting.
Now decades later she was newly engaged to Tim. She didn’t have a date yet but she said she had been following my photography for the last 5 years and knew that she wanted me there to document it. To say that I was honored was a huge understatement. I am always so grateful when someone invites me to share so closely in one of the most meaningful days of their lives … and this is a wedding I knew that I needed to be a part of.
Tara and Tim were married at the Winery at Elk Manor on the most unbelievable day in July. It was perfect .. cool breezes off the beach, colorful sea glass and all of their family and friends. This is how I saw it.
