I truly don’t know where to begin with this wedding. I’ve been working on it for a long time and it’s finally ready. And get comfortable because it’s a looonnnngggg one!! There was just so much beauty to this day that I couldn’t leave anything out.
Kat and Cris are amazing souls .. the kind of people that you want to surround yourself with. They genuinely love what they do in this world and their happiness is infectious. I’m happy to call them new neighbors and I hope to see much more of them soon. Kat is unbelievably sweet and genuine and her emails always make me smile. I feel like I could probably talk to her about anything. Cris is an amazing musician and I finally got the opportunity to see him perform live at the Charm City Folk & Blue Grass Festival in April .. to see him on stage is amazing and pure happiness radiates out of him when he performs. If you get the chance to check out Cris Jacobs Band .. do not pass it up!
Their wedding took place on Kat’s fathers property and the entire day was a vintage, earthy, romantic fairy tale. Their day was full of music, amazing food, and smiling friends and family. Please enjoy their wedding day the way that I saw it….A huge theme in their wedding was music… There was amazing live music accompanying the ceremony, the cocktail hour and throughout the reception. The beer was all local from Baltimore’s new brewery, Union Craft Brewing. They are having a 1 year anniversary party July 27th .. Check it out!!There was an artist at the ceremony painting throughout the entire ceremony. He started with a blank canvas as the guests were arriving and created a masterpiece throughout the ceremony. I’ve never seen anything like it before. This will be an art piece that Kat and Cris will cherish forever. Sometimes crazy things happen during your wedding ceremony and you have no idea until you get your photos back. 🙂 Kat and Cris created a CD wedding favor for all their guests from their favorite love songs. You might recognize the cover art from their engagement session. The most amazing part in the evening is when Cris surprised Kat with the most amazing song that he wrote for their wedding. Never in all the weddings I have photographed have I have known a large reception of guests to be so silent. It was incredible. If you make it all the way to the end you can hear the song he wrote. It will make you cry. Full disclosure .. I listened to it twice on my drive home that night. 🙂
Blog title lyric from the amazingly beautiful song that Cris wrote and performed for Kat at their reception. To listen to the entire song hit play on the slideshow below. You won’t regret it.
